Two months later after I took Sherry’s maternity photo, little E made her arrival shortly after the New Year and became the first 2015 baby to see me. This little 6 days old girl pretty much just slept through her entire session. Another newborn to add on to my wall of good babies fame!  It took her big brother some warming up in a new environment before we could get the two of them together for a photo. Luckily he was holding the flower pot calendar with baby E’s birth date before he took it apart hahaha.

Congratulations on the newest addition in the family! Enjoy the time with her as we all know too well, they grow up fast.

Little N was welcomed by her parents in November and we had her newborn lifestyle session done at her home. She certainly showed her personality when she was awake and showing off her awesome lung power! Eventually she grew tired of singing and took quick cat naps in the arms of her parents. Seems like these days all the babies have the nicest decorated nursery. Little N was beautifully decorated in sea foam green walls with yellow and grey animal prints.

Congrats on your little bundle of joy and hope she enjoys her first Christmas!

Here’s little C at 10 days old with chubby cheeks and all his little rolls! The little guys was born healthy with a shiny crop of hair. I loved how stylish his hair looks and he’s only 10 days old!

As many of you know, I have a ton of wraps, blankets and hats, mostly hand knit by me. With Little C, his grandmother is an avid knitter and because they didn’t know the gender until he was born, she made lots of blankets in both girl and boy colors. I was excited when little C’s parents had a huge bag of blankets and I used as many as I could to incorporate with him.

I wanted to take some fresh angles with newborns, so I decided to bust out my macro 100mm lens and try out a couple of new poses. Great little model and he was willing to let me do so.

I don’t blame him for sleeping like this. Just like relaxing on the beach while it’s so toasty warm.Calgary newborn baby boy_0006Calgary newborn baby boy_0007

So many things to catch up with for this season! With wedding season over, is the beginning of more newborn and family sessions. This little princess is the proud parents of this stunning couple when I photographed them in the spring time for their maternity session (click here to see their session). It made sense to pick princess colors for the little one so pink was the predominant color with accents of purple and silver. She was a really good baby, didn’t give me any troubles at all and she even rewarded me with a smile at the end.

Congrats B and D! I know the first few weeks is tough but it’s worth it to get snuggles for this little one.

Little Miss O, weighing at 7 lbs and 4 oz, was an adorable little girl and already she told (or cried to) me she was the boss of the session! I definitely found out quickly that there were certain poses she liked and other poses she did not like at all. But with a little bit of patience and snuggling, she fell asleep and we tried those poses until we had success.

I’ll be seeing her again in a few short months when she’s a bit older for part two of her photo package. Can’t wait to see how much she will change from the initial 8 days first meeting.
