All the latest and past work I've done over the last few years. Everytime I post a new entry, I feel very lucky to capture important memories that will last a lifetime for that person.

It was very tough to pick and choose photos to blog from Heather and Patrick’s engagement session. We had lots of fun going from spot to spot in their soon to be new community and I really enjoyed their company. They were so energetic and always smiling throughout the evening session.

We first met up at the Good Earth café and who knew the café served wine and beer! The weather was perfect for patio season so after finishing up the drinks, we zipped over to their almost finished new home. From there we went to the final stop and walked down to the river side and back up. I couldn’t be happier because there were almost no mosquitoes and walking in the tall grass was painless.  I loved how they brought such colorful balloons and everyone that walked by commented how it made them smile. I’m so glad they were game to stay a little later because the light was gorgeous right at the end of the session. I’m really looking forward to their wedding next year!

My friend and photographer colleague Stephanie Couture delivered a beautiful healthy baby girl who was 8 days past her due date. I’m guessing Miss A was late because I started knitting some newborn props and she was waiting for me to finish first! Stephanie brought Miss A to see me today and boy did she make me work. She was so wide eyed for most of the time but she eventually dozed off after a lot of cuddles.  Interested to see how exactly wide eyed she was?  See the end of the blog!

It’s  been almost two years since I photographed this beautiful family’s first baby in 2011. When I look back at their son’s photos, he was all wide eyed at 19 days old. Here’s the link  just to show how energetic he was already!

We were thinking the new baby, Mr K would carry the same wide awake genes. So we all decided to hold Mr K’s newborn session at 8 days old instead and hope for some sleepy shots. Success and Mr K snoozed through the entire session! The family wanted to have another hungry caterpillar theme, same as when Mr M first saw me. Mr K looked so tiny all cocooned up.

Can’t believe how fast Mr M has grown up, exact replica like his Dad.

It was such a busy Canada Day weekend with a two days Indian wedding celebration. Day 1 was a family celebration mainly with the bride’s side of the family. I saw many familiar faces from last year’s wedding, which is always nice to see them doing well! The families and friends gave her their warm wishes and fed her a variety of foods and dabbed yellow paste on her hands and face to cleanse the body and soul for the married life. I was super excited to see the henna decorating from beginning to end. The artist drew the patterns so fast without any reference materials.

Day 2 was at the Coast Plaza Hotel, beautifully decorated by Bollywood Fusion with predominately teal and purple colors. The bride looked so beautiful in pink and gold, and the groom rocked it with the red hat and shoes. 🙂

Thanks J+R and hope you enjoyed the time in Canada before flying back home!

I’ve always loved weddings in Banff, especially at the Banff Springs Hotel in the open ballroom with the large windows and chandeliers. This particular wedding was decorated to an elegant touch, silver and crystals hanging from the trees and candelabras. The bouquet made from roses and hydrangea’s subtle colors suited the decor. The planning was headed up by Creative Events Decor.
