Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend in Calgary! I’m sure a lot of lucky brides got married this weekend, and one of them got married at the Carriage House Inn. I was hired to photograph the wedding decor by Creative Decor Events. Everything was decorated in various shades of purple, from the sashes to the purple rose balls. I was in love with the bouquets especially because the colors really gave it a pop against the purple. Looking forward to working with Creative Decor Events again!
Slightly behind blogging but better to be late than never! Starting off the new Chinese New Year with a maternity blog of this yummy mummy. Ms L was only a few days away from the due date and wanted to get some portraits to celebrate her second child. I love the black and white look, especially paired against a dark background.
On a side not, I’ll be collaborating with Ms L next week for a wedding detail photo shoot at the Carriage House Inn. Ms L has launched a wedding planning and decorating company and I can’t wait to work with her to photograph the wedding details. More details to come in another blog!
I’ve been waiting for quite awhile before I got the greenlight to post these. A good friend of mine, Dennis Vu, is president of the Calgary Vietnamese Youth Association, asked if I was interested to collaborate on a calendar to help raise funds. The look would be ladies wearing traditional dresses. I said yes without any hesitation because I love any kind of traditional clothes from any culture. I was one of two photographers on this collaboration shoot and here are my images they selected for the calendar.
And here’s the calendar layout for 2013!
I’m about done going through Krissy and Robin’s engagement and I couldn’t resist picking out a few more sneak previews for them! In case you missed part 1, you can view the original post here.
I met Krissy more than two years ago at the zoo during one of the events in our Calgary photographer club. I was super pleased when Krissy called me up asking me to be there on her wedding. She has followed my progress since we first met, and it’s always flattering to know people are watching you grow!
Krissy and Robin wanted to have a winter engagement out in the mountains, and was it ever cold yesterday! It was definitely colder than -10c but they were troopers, especially their pug/French bulldog Boris! Their cat stayed at home in a beer box, smart choice because it was warm! You can tell it was cold because of the ice crystals next to the ring. When they tie the knot this year, I’m hoping for warm weather, considering what Robin and his groomsmen will wear 🙂
