I met Krissy more than two years ago at the zoo during one of the events in our Calgary photographer club. I was super pleased when Krissy called me up asking me to be there on her wedding. She has followed my progress since we first met, and it’s always flattering to know people are watching you grow!

Krissy and Robin wanted to have a winter engagement out in the mountains, and was it ever cold yesterday! It was definitely colder than -10c but they were troopers, especially their pug/French bulldog Boris! Their cat stayed at home in a beer box, smart choice because it was warm! You can tell it was cold because of the ice crystals next to the ring. When they tie the knot this year, I’m hoping for warm weather, considering what Robin and his groomsmen will wear ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Danielle - Beautiful out in the mountains!ReplyCancel

  • Sarah - Awwww their pets are so cute! Love the group hockey jerseys.ReplyCancel

The last time I saw Austin he was only 6 months old then and loving his Elmo stuffed toy. Now we fast forward another 6 months, and he’s starting to walk on his 1st milestone. He was a little shy but he overcame it especially when his Mom Christine starting playing some music on her phone. This little guy likes Gangnam Style song and was swaying back and forth. Super cute!

Happy New Year and here’s the first blog post for 2013! Mr C was actually born on 12.12.12 (easy birthday to remember) and was 15 days old when he came to see me. The family’s siblings all bought a little hat for him, the Lorax <3 Mr C’s twin cousins wore Thing 1 and Thing 2 hats so it only made sense to continue on with Dr Seuss’s characters.

Here are some of my favorite sneak previews.

Tanya and Johnny’s wedding was an explosion of color and detail! The two of them tied the knot and held the reception at the Greenwood Inn. It was great networking opportunity with their wedding planners, One West Events who oversaw the schedules and the details. With the theme set to autumn, the two of them carefully picked details from colors, the unique ring pumpkin “pillow”, their daughter’s “flower” leaf basket and all the decor used for the ceremony and reception. Tanya’s favorite detail from the day was her Gerber daisy cake, and I got quite a few detail shots of it ๐Ÿ™‚ I loved their wedding song “After All” by Cher and Peter Cetera. They chose this song because of the growth in their relathionship. “After over a year passed we crossed paths one day and from then on it was love again. We feel that this time our bond and love is stronger and we know we are destined to be together.”

Thank you Ian Steiner for being my second shooter. I chuckled when I combined our film together. We somehow focused on the flower girl and ring bearer at the same time even though we were separated by a few floors. I would be snapping images of the flower girl while Ian was focusing on the ring bearer and his baby brother at the same time. Tanya and Johnny, your daughter and nephews are too cute!

A special request from Tanya of the boys. Johnny knew the drill: Happy wife equals happy life!
